Cold Wallet

A cold wallet keeps private keys on a device that has never been connected to the internet. Hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor) are the most common form. Cold storage protects against remote attackers but adds friction for every transaction, so it is used mostly for long-term holdings and treasury management.
