Edge Node

An edge node is a copy of a chain's RPC endpoint placed geographically close to its users to reduce round-trip time. RPC providers run dozens of edge nodes across continents and route each request to the closest healthy one. For latency-sensitive workloads — trading bots, real-time dashboards — the difference between a local edge node and a remote one can be 100 milliseconds or more.
