Mining Rig

A mining rig is the hardware that solves the proof-of-work puzzle: ASICs for Bitcoin, GPUs for some altcoins. Rigs are sold pre-built or assembled from parts, and the economics depend on hash power, electricity cost, and the current network difficulty. With Ethereum's move to proof-of-stake, GPU mining has shrunk significantly.
