Native Token

The native token is the asset used to pay transaction fees on its chain — ETH on Ethereum, HYPE on Hyperliquid, BTC on Bitcoin. It is usually also the asset used for staking on proof-of-stake chains. Other tokens deployed on the chain (ERC-20s and so on) are not native to it.
