Perpetual Futures
A perpetual future is a derivative contract that mimics a spot position with no expiration date. To anchor the perp price to the underlying spot price, the contract pays a periodic funding rate from one side to the other based on the gap. Hyperliquid offers perps on hundreds of markets — perps are the platform's flagship product and the bulk of its volume.
