Whitelist
A whitelist restricts an action to a predefined set of addresses — minting an NFT, claiming an airdrop, accessing a beta. Maintaining a whitelist on-chain is straightforward but expensive at scale, so most teams use a Merkle root: each address proves its inclusion against a single 32-byte hash stored in the contract.
