Block Time
Block time is the average interval between two consecutive blocks. Ethereum sits around 12 seconds, Solana under 1 second, Hyperliquid roughly 0.2 seconds on its small block schedule. Shorter block times reduce the time between submitting a transaction and getting confirmation but put more pressure on validator hardware and network propagation.
