Consensus
Consensus is the procedure that makes a distributed set of nodes agree on the same version of the ledger. Proof-of-work and proof-of-stake are the two families most chains use today. Hyperliquid uses HyperBFT, a BFT-style consensus where validators sign and propagate proposed blocks to reach finality within hundreds of milliseconds.
