Validator
A validator is a node authorized to propose and attest to new blocks. In proof-of-stake systems the validator puts up a stake of the native token as collateral — honest behavior earns rewards, dishonest behavior gets slashed. On Hyperliquid, validators run the HyperBFT consensus and process every order on HyperCore; the set is small by design (about 21 at the time of writing) and HYPE holders delegate to validators rather than running their own.
