The first in-person Hyperliquid Hackathon (HLH) took place in Korea, on September 21–22, 2025. HypeRPC powered the event, with B Harvest co-hosting locally, as nearly 200 builders, developers, and innovators gathered worldwide.

Known for its strong developer culture and crypto adoption, and with Korea Blockchain Week unfolding simultaneously, Korea placed Hyperliquid builders at the center of the industry’s energy.

Over the weekend, around 60 teams submitted projects. Builders got to work as soon as they arrived, with some starting right after registration opened at 9:00 on day one and others ramping up by noon. From there, coding continued nonstop through to 16:30 on day two, more than 30 hours on site, with many pushing overnight to ship their ideas.

From these submissions, ten teams advanced to the final judging round. Judges included Jeff, Co-Founder of Hyperliquid Labs; Ibrar Arif, Co-Founder of HypeRPC; Cain O’Sullivan, Co-Founder and CTO of Hyperdrive; Marcin, Co-Founder of RedStone; and Edison, Co-Founder of based.

A Defining Moment for Hyperliquid

The energy in Seoul was unmistakable. Builders worked tirelessly to design, code, and ship projects that reflected the future of trading, DeFi, and infrastructure.

The event was not just about competition but also about collaboration. Discussions ranged from Hyperliquid Improvement Proposals (HIPs) and HIP-3 to CoreWriter, HyperEVM’s dual block architecture, and why Hyperliquid is becoming the everything exchange. These conversations highlighted how Hyperliquid is sprouting into a builder-first ecosystem.

The presence of Jeff, CEO of Hyperliquid Labs, made the moment even more special. His words underscored the importance of community and innovation in shaping the ecosystem.
