ERC-20

ERC-20 is the original standard for fungible tokens on Ethereum. It specifies a small set of functions (transfer, approve, balanceOf) that every wallet, exchange, and protocol knows how to call. Most tokens you have ever interacted with on an EVM chain — stablecoins, governance tokens, LP positions — are ERC-20.
