Fungibility

Fungibility means that any two units of the same asset are interchangeable. One dollar is fungible with another dollar. ERC-20 tokens are fungible by design; ERC-721 NFTs are not. Fungibility is a precondition for using something as money — non-fungible assets need to be priced individually.
