Gas Limit
Gas limit comes in two flavors. The transaction gas limit is the maximum gas a single transaction is allowed to consume before being reverted; the block gas limit caps the total gas across all transactions in a block. Underestimating the transaction limit causes an out-of-gas revert and the user still pays for the wasted work.
